ifs Student Investor Challenge 2011/12
The ifs Student Investor Challenge is the UK's premier investment competition for UK students aged 14-19 that offers winners a whole host of prizes, including an all expenses paid educational trip to New York. Have you got the skill to invest £100,000 and produce a winning portfolio?
Guru Challenge
Congratulations to 'Lockstock' from Wyggeston and Queen Elizabeth I College, Leicestershire who won the Guru Challenge! Each team member will receive a £75 cheque for their achievement!
Monthly prize winners for January
Congratulations to 'The Brian's' from Whitgift School, Surrey who have seen their portfolio achieve the biggest percentage increase in January. They will be receiving £25 each to mark this achievement.
Remember, there is one extra space at each regional final up for grabs!
For each region, we will be putting the team that achieves the highest percentage increase in their portfolio value into a pot each month. The team that is drawn from the pot at the end of the competition will win a place at the regional finals. There will be three names in each regional pot at the end of the competition (one team from November, December and January) so they will have a one in three chance of getting a place. The teams from January who will be entered into the draw are:
- Scotland, Northern Ireland and North England: 'The Sweaty Fat Cats' from Dame Allan's Schools
- North Wales and the English Midlands: 'S.C.A.R' from King Edward VI Five Ways School
- South West England and South Wales: 'Ruthless Capitalists' from King Edwards School
- South East England: 'The Brian's' from Whitgift School
These teams will be joining our November and December qualifiers 'The Fresh Princes of Bel Share', 'Seagull lovers everywhere', 'VA Team', 'Stochastic', 'HCE Shares', 'Corleone Family', 'The Winners4U' and 'Lack of Talent Ltd' in the wildcard draw.
